S&S, 3-7/16" bore 9:1CR piston kit. +.030"

Standard replacement was 8:1 (46cc dome), these come with a 9:1 (57cc dome) compression ratio for a bit more oomph. S&S forged pistons with an advanced alloy and skirt profiles, resulting in a quiet engine and long life, previously only achievable with cast pistons. Used as replacement, with a higher compression ratio, for 1200cc (74") Shovel, Pan and Knucklehead models. 3-7/16" bore with stock 3-31/32" stroke. Pistons include wrist pins, wrist pin clips and piston rings.

Note: S&S piston fit recommendations: Close fit .0030" to .0035", loose fit .004" to .005".
Note: In any and all applications the technician must be able to judge components for their suitability in combination with the other engine components, prior to installation. It is of importance that a knowledgeable mechanic will install & make adjustments as required. The rider must follow standard break-in and riding procedures for overhauled engines.
