JIMS, countershaft scissor gear alignment tool
Essential for installation of the countershaft 1st 'scissor' gear (35600103) in the M8 Cruise Drive transmissions. It is installed before the scissor gear is removed to maintain alignment of the gear halves under spring pressure. When installing this ensures the scissor gear teeth will mesh correctly with the mainshaft 1st gear, to help prevent 'first gear clunk'.
